Q-Switched Laser
In this laser procedure in which a beam of light at a specific wavelength is applied to the skin.
This is a laser procedure in which a beam of light at a specific wavelength is applied to the skin and is absorbed by coloured pigments in the skin, including melanin and tattoo pigments.
What can be treated with a Q-switched Laser?
-
BirthMarks
-
Post-inflammatory hyper-pigmentation
-
Pigmented Scars
How does it work?
For Tattoo Removal
A short pulse (30 nanoseconds-3×10-9) of intense light emitted by the laser is selectively absorbed by the melanosome or the tattoo ink located in the epidermal & dermal skin layers.
On Pigmentation
Pigmented lesions are all made of an over abundance of melanosomes in the skin. The laser energy causes the melanosome or tattoo ink to fragment into smaller pigment particles that are removed by your body’s immune system.
